Reception and Key Stage 1 class
Pupils in Reception, and years 1 and 2 are based in the newer building at the main entrance to school. This is a light and well-ventilated room with free access to a covered learning space outdoors and the large school field. This lovely space allows for free flow within continuous provision, indoors and outdoors, whatever the weather! There is plenty of space for whole class work or teaching of small groups inside the classroom. Children are taught by Ms Wotton, Mrs Bunting, Mrs Williams and Miss Nicholls.
Key Stage 2 class
The KS2 class for children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 is situated in the older, traditional building. Small group teaching takes place for English and Maths while the wider curriculum is taught as one Key Stage 2 class. This larger space can facilitate whole class music lessons and indoor PE. Children are taught by Miss Morton, Mrs Bunting, Miss Ironmonger and Miss Nicholls.
The Key Stage 2 classroom converts into a dining room at lunchtimes.
Both classes have ready access to garden spaces, playgrounds and the school field. We have recently improved the playground with additional climbing and balancing equipment We regularly make use of the Village Hall for sports, drama and performances.
